Our exciting 14-day tour from Marrakech is your opportunity to discover numerous interesting places and imperial cities around Morocco. The journey starts from Marrakech to the imperial cities of Essaouira, Safi, El Jadida, Casablanca, Rabat, and Tangier.
On the way to the Erg Chebbi desert, we will visit Chefchaouen, the blue city; Fes, one of the oldest cities in Morocco; Ifrane, the ‘Little Switzerland’ of Morocco; and the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary Monkeys. The itinerary will take us along the Ziz Valley and Tizi n’ Talghamt Pass, continuing over Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara desert.
The Merzouga desert offers plenty of adventures and a night in a desert camp. We will take the road back to Marrakech through Tinghir, the Dades Gorges, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou, and over the High Atlas Mountains.

Below is a detailed day-by-day itinerary of your 14-day adventure, including all the key stops, distance, drive time, and experiences along the way. This itinerary can be customized according to your needs for the best experience.
Our 14-day trip to Morocco from Marrakech begins upon your arrival at the airport. We will be there and take you to your accommodation to relax. Followed by a delicious dinner and a comfortable night stay.
On the second day of our 14-day Marrakech desert tour, we will take you to see the best places around. First, we will visit the Koutoubia Mosque in the heart of Marrakech, near Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, with its 77m high minaret. Then, we will head to Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the famous UNESCO World Heritage site.
Next, we will visit Bahia Palace, known for its lavish and ornate architecture, and learn about its rich history. Finally, we will travel to Majorelle Garden, where you will have free time to walk and admire its colors and unique plants, followed by exploring the colorful markets. Dinner and overnight stay at your Riad.
On the third day of our two-week Marrakech itinerary, we will leave Marrakech and head to Essaouira. As we approach Essaouira, we will be amazed by the stunning view of the town.
Essaouira is famous for its beautiful beaches, which are great for surfing. It is often referred to as the “Windy City.” You will have free time to walk along the beach, admiring the waves. Overnight stay at your Riad.
Today, we will be leaving Essaouira and heading to Oualidia. Making a stop at Safi, Safi is known for its fishing industry and pottery production. We arrive in Oualidia, it is a coastal town in Morocco, known for its stunning lagoon and beautiful beaches. Dinner and a night’s lodging in Oualidia.
Proceeding with our 14-day Morocco itinerary, we head out to Rabat, passing by El Jadida, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed Portuguese citadel. We will stop in Casablanca to visit Mohammed V Square and the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Africa. Next, we drive to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco.
Here, we will visit numerous interesting sites: Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Kasbah Les Oudayas. Evening meal and overnight lodging in Rabat.
Our 14-day tour from Marrakech continues, driving along the beautiful coastal road to Tangier. We will visit Asilah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its beautiful narrow streets, fortified walls, white houses, and blue doors.
Arriving in Tangier, the gateway to Africa from Europe, we will explore the city. Dinner and overnight accommodation here.
In the morning after a wonderful breakfast, we will tangier and travel to Chefchaouen. A beautiful blue town located in the Green Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen is known for its blue-washed buildings and narrow streets. It’s often called the Blue City or the Blue Pearl of morocco. Once we get to the Blue City we will check into your Riad to leave your luggage.
You have free time to explore the streets and visit Ras El Maa waterfall, Place Outa El Hamam, and the Kasbah Museum. The best part you won’t miss is the sunset. Climb the mountain to the Mosque of the Spaniards, evening meal with overnight lodging in a local riad.
Today, we will depart from Chefchaouen and hit the road to Fes. We will drive to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its well-preserved Roman ruins. Then, we will visit Meknes, often Mentioned as the Versailles of Morocco.
We will have lunch along the way. Then, we will drive straight to Fes. Once arriving, we will check into your accommodation to relax. We will have dinner and a night’s rest.
Today we will explore Fes with a local guide. First, we will visit the Royal Palace of Fez, in the heart of the city. Then we head to Borj Nord, a fortified tower, the Bou Inania Madrasa, the University of Al Qarawiyyin It was founded in 859 and is one of the world’s oldest universities that is still running today.
Our two-week Morocco itinerary continues after a wonderful breakfast, we leave Fes behind, and travel to the Merzouga Sahara desert. With a break at Ifrane, known for its European buildings, it is often called the Switzerland of Morocco. Afterward, we will discover the home of Barbary apes at the Cedar Forest. A lunch break will be in a local restaurant along the way.
Our itinerary continues through Tizi n Talghemt (the camel pass) with a stop for photos and along the Ziz Valley, an oasis full of palm trees. Then continuing along Erfoud and Riassin, the gateway to the desert.
Before arriving at Merzouga, we will stop at a small mountain that faces the Huge golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, to stretch our legs and take some photos, then head to our Riad located at the edge of the sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early and hop on your camel caravan for a stunning sunrise through the dunes, followed by a wonderful breakfast. Afterward, we will start an off-road 4WD desert trip around the Merzouga desert.
Our desert trip takes us to the seasonal lake Dayet Srij, then head to Kahmlia village, where we will meet and enjoy Gnawa music, have a cup of tea, and share some time, the Gnawa people appreciate the tip.
Continuing, to M’Fis, then head to the nomad families, we will meet one of the families to share some time and learn about their rich culture. Then, our journey takes us to Rissani through the seasonal lake Yasmina in Erg Chebbi.
After exploring the traditional market of Riassni we will have a pizza lunch at a restaurant. The souk is lively three days a week if the day is Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday.
Continuing, we will drive back to our Riad to relax and be ready for a camel journey through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Climb a high dune for a Sandboarding experience and watch the stunning sunset.
As the dusk falls, we cross the dunes to our traditional camp, you will be greeted with a cup of tea followed by a tasty dinner, and some traditional Berber songs with locals, and enjoy stargazing.
Start the day with an early morning wake-up call to enjoy the sunrise and a delicious breakfast at your camp. Return by camel caravan or 4×4 vehicle at no extra cost. From here, we begin our journey to the Dades Valley. Our journey takes us through the impressive Todra Gorges, often called the Grand Canyon of Morocco. Lunch is served en route.
Next, we’ll head to the Dades Gorges. We’ll visit a unique site called Monkey Fingers. The name comes from the unique shapes of the rocks, which resemble monkey fingers. Finally, we’ll arrive in the Dades Valley, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night at your accommodation in the Dades Gorges.
Our Morocco itinerary 14 days from Marrakech journey takes us in the morning from Dades Gorges towards Ouarzazate renowned as the Hollywood of Africa, driving through numerous Berber traditional villages, and passing by Rose Valley known for its Rose Festival in May, and Skoura Kasbah.
In Ouarzazate, we will take you to visit the Atlas Studios, then head to the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been featured in numerous films: Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia, The Mummy, and TV series such as Game of Thrones. There will be a lunch stop during the trip.
Then, our journey takes us over the High Atlas Mountains. We will arrive at Marrakech in the late afternoon and check into your hotel. Enjoy the colorful souks of Jemaa El Fna, dinner, and overnight stay at your Hotel.
Today, you will have some time to explore the souks to get some traditional things for friends, such as souvenirs and decorative items.
