Marrakech ➙ High Atlas Mountains ➙ Ait Ben Haddou ➙ Ouarzazate ➙ Merzouga.

In the morning, you will meet your driver, leave Marrakech behind, and travel through the High Atlas Mountains and Morocco’s highest pass, Tizi N’Tichka. We will make a stop at Ait Ben Haddou to explore the Kasbah, which was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

Continuing our expedition, we will have a lunch break at a restaurant along the way, traveling through Boumalne Dades, Tinghir, and Erfoud. Upon arriving at our final destination, Merzouga, we will check into our hotel or riad for dinner and an overnight stay.

Merzouga ➙ Berber nomads

We highly recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise, either from the nearest dune or by camel. After a refreshing breakfast, we will embark on an adventure around the Merzouga desert to visit the Berber nomads. First, we will visit the seasonal Dayet Srij lake, which attracts birds like flamingos.

Then, we will head to Khamlia Village to enjoy traditional Gnawa music, and continue to the Berber community via Mifis. You’ll have the chance to meet the nomads and learn about their way of life. Afterward, we will travel through the Erg Chebbi dunes and have lunch at a riad, where you can enjoy swimming before we begin the camel ride excursion.

You will meet your camel guide and trek into the heart of the desert to watch the sunset and try sandboarding. As dusk falls, you will continue to the camp for an overnight stay, with dinner followed by lively Berber music around the campfire.

Merzouga ➙ Agdz ➙ Ouarzazate ➙ Marrakech

After a delicious breakfast, we will travel back to Marrakech along the Draa Valley, the largest valley in Morocco. We will pass through Nkob and Agdz, with a stop in Ouarzazate for lunch at a restaurant. We will then continue through the High Atlas Mountains. Our 3-day Morocco desert tour from Marrakech concludes as we drop you off at your accommodation.
