Casablanca ⇢ Rabat

The 9-day Morocco tour from Casablanca begins at the airport or your accommodation (Casablanca). Considering that the city is the largest in Morocco and an economic center, the tour starts with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, built in 1993, which is the largest mosque in Morocco.

Then, explore the Oudaya Kasbah in Rabat upon arrival. It’s one of the imperial cities in Morocco, and the Kasbah was built in the 17th century by the Moorish family. Afterward, visit the Hassan Tower, and you may be able to explore more places like the Royal Palace and the Chellah if time permits.

Overnight stay in a hotel.

Rabat ⇢ Ouazzane ⇢ Chefchaouen.

After having breakfast, we head north through the city of Ouazzane and the Rif Mountains. In the afternoon, we reach the Blue Pearl of Chefchaouen. It’s a wonderful city located in the Rif Mountains, famous for its blue streets and buildings.

After checking into your hotel, you will have free time to walk in the blue streets of Chefchaouen. To catch the most beautiful sunset, we recommend you climb up to the Spanish Mosque on the mountain, where you will see the whole city with the sunset.

Overnight stay in a Riad.

Chefchaouen ⇢ Archaeological Site of Volubilis ⇢ Fes.

After breakfast, wander the charming blue streets of Chefchaouen. Then, head to Fes, passing through the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. The site features beautiful mosaics scattered throughout, alongside ancient pillars and archways.

After enjoying the sites, we head to Fes for an overnight stay in a Riad.

Fes Sightseeing Tour.

After breakfast, you will be led by a local guide to explore the highlights of Fes. Fes is included in the imperial cities of Morocco and is the second biggest city in the country after Casablanca. It is a very cultural city and home to religious schools, including the 14th-century Bou Inania and Al Attarine.

The tour begins at the Royal Palace gate, then passes through the Jewish quarter, known as “the Mellah.” Continue to Borj Nord for a panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes.

Next, enter the well-preserved medieval Medina of Fes, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, will be your starting point into the Medina. Your local guide will accompany you on a walking tour, visiting the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, and the Tanneries.

You will also visit the oldest university in the world, the Quaraouin Mosque and University. After finishing the tour, your driver will take you back to your Riad. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore more of Fes.

Fes ⇢ Ifrane ⇢ Cedars Forest ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Merzouga.

After breakfast, get ready for an amazing desert adventure in Merzouga. First, we will drive south, passing through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco. The alpine-style architecture of the houses truly makes it resemble Switzerland.

Our expedition continues to the Cedars Forest, where you can see and feed the Barbary macaques, also known as Barbary apes, and enjoy some free time to wander in the forest. Later, we head to Zayda or Midelt to enjoy a delicious lunch. Along the way to the Merzouga desert, we will stop for panoramic views of the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz Valley.

We reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga in the afternoon, where you’ll ride camels into the golden sand dunes. The camel driver will ensure you climb the dunes to enjoy the sunset.

Afterward, arrive at the desert camp, check into your tent, and enjoy dinner. End the evening with local Berber music around the campfire, dancing to warm up on cold winter days.

Merzouga ⇢ Rissani ⇢ Erfoud ⇢ Dades Valley.

Before having your breakfast, we recommend waking up early to catch the majestic sunrise on the dunes. Afterward, leave the desert to visit Rissani town, a major trading center in the region. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, there is a large souk where you can buy authentic Moroccan spices.

After exploring Rissani, we continue to Todra Gorges via Erfoud, Touroug, and the Tinjdad palm groves, eventually reaching the Todra Gorges. This is a perfect place for hiking enthusiasts due to the towering mountains. Enjoy the Todra River and its breathtaking canyon.

After lunch, we continue to the Dades Valley, stopping at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. Finally, arrive at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Dades Valley ⇢ Roses Valley ⇢ Skoura ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou ⇢ Marrakech.

After you’ve had your breakfast, we set off for Marrakech, leaving the charming Dades behind with the hope of returning someday. On the way to Marrakech, we will visit Kalaa Magouna, the Rose Valley, where every May, locals showcase their rose products during the Rose Festival celebration.

Next, we head to the palm groves of Skoura. After a safe drive, we will reach the gate of the desert, Ouarzazate, a city where the film studio is located. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, we take a short ride to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Parts of The Gladiator and many other films, as well as TV series like Game of Thrones, were filmed there. You will have free time to climb up to the Kasbah before we continue to Marrakech.

After crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass with the High Atlas Mountains, we will stop for lunch. Remember, you can always stop to take pictures at any interesting spot along the way. Finally, we arrive in Marrakech for an overnight stay in a riad.

Marrakech Sightseeing Tour.

The whole day will be dedicated to exploring Marrakech, the Red City, and its local culture, which is one of the imperial cities of Morocco.

With breakfast done, a local guide will accompany you throughout the tour, leading you to explore one of the largest traditional souks/markets in Morocco. The tour includes visits to the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque, and the Saadian Tombs. Before concluding your discoveries, you will visit the Koutoubia Mosque and the Majorelle Garden.

Afterward, you’ll return to your riad. Later in the evening, you are free to wander around Jamaa el Fna Square on your own, one of the most fascinating places to visit in Marrakech.

Marrakech ⇢ Casablanca.

On the last day of our 9-day Morocco tour from Casablanca, you will be transferred to the airport in Casablanca, depending on your flight time. If you have enough time, we may visit additional places or allow you more free time in Marrakech for shopping or relaxing.
