This Sunset camel trek in Merzouga starts at least one hour before the sun sets. This isn’t just a camel ride, it’s time to create lasting memories, time to create an unforgettable trip and time for the most beautiful sunset you will ever see.
Once you arrive at your guesthouse, enjoy a cup of mint tea and relax. Around 5:00 PM, we will take you to the camel’s place where our camels are waiting for you. Everyone rides their camel and gets ready for the Merzouga sunset camel trek.
We cross the golden dunes of Merzouga. The excursion takes around 30 minutes before we arrive at a high dune, just in time for sunset. We leave our camels and climb the dune to enjoy sandboarding before the sun goes down.
Enjoy the sunset view and take pictures. Once the sun sets, we’ll travel back on our camels and ride over the Erg Chebbi dunes to our place. The desert is very calm; all you will hear are camels’ soft footfalls on the clean sand.
