Explore the Sahara desert with our Day and Night Merzouga camel ride, featuring a daytime adventure in the desert and a magical night under the stars. This camel ride includes lunch at an oasis, a sunset camel ride on the high dunes of Erg Chebbi, and an overnight stay at your preferred camp. Please note, you can take a 4WD car in the morning to reach the village as an alternative to camels at no extra cost.

Itinerary of Day and night camel trek in Merzouga
Hotel ➙ Camel ride ➙ Oasis ➙ Camp
Day 1:
Our full day and overnight camel excursion starts around 10:00. Travel over the Erg Chebbi dunes. The excursion takes around one hour in the desert to reach the Oasis. Upon reaching the Oasis, the guide will make a Berber pizza with mint tea, followed by a delicious lunch under the shade of palm trees. Here, you will have time to relax and listen to the peaceful dunes.
In the afternoon, it is time for a short camel ride, going through the desert to a high dune where you will enjoy a magical sunset. Once you reach, bring the sandboard and experience sliding down the dunes while enjoying the panoramic view of the dunes and sunset. Take some pictures.
As dusk falls, ride camels again and head to the camp. You will be greeted with a cup of tea, followed by a delicious dinner. Play some drums and sing songs with the locals under the stars.

Day 2:
On the second day of our Merzouga day trip and overnight camel trek in the desert, it is a great idea to wake up early in the morning to watch the magic of the sunrise. Take a shower and have breakfast. We mark the end of our day and night Merzouga camel trekking journey as we get you to your hotel or riad, either by camel or 4WD car as an alternative to the camel.
