Errachidia ➙ ziz valley ➙ Merzouga desert camp

We will start our 2-day Errachidia desert tour in the morning. Your driver will pick you up from the airport or your hotel, and then we will head to the Sahara desert, where you will spend a magical night. We will travel along the Ziz Valley, an oasis with plenty of palm trees, and pass by Erfoud, known for its fossil-rich regions and date palm plantations. It’s often referred to as the fossil capital of Morocco.
Traveling along the road from Erfoud, upon reaching the desert, you will ride your camel caravan across the dunes to watch the sunset from a high dune. If you arrive at the camp early, you can climb one of the nearest dunes to watch the sunset.
Later, you will enjoy a Moroccan dinner and listen to warm songs by locals around the fire. It’s your chance to play the drums with them. Afterward, you’ll have free time to stargaze from the nearest dune.
Merzouga desert camp ➙ Nomad families ➙ Errachidia

In the morning, after breakfast at the desert camp, you will ride your camel back to the village, or you can choose to take a 4WD car instead. You will have some free time in the village before we start the 4×4 desert tour around the area. If you’d like, you can also participate in activities such as quad biking or buggy riding.
Our first visit will be to the seasonal lake of Merzouga, known as Dayet Srij Lake, famous for birdwatching, where you might spot flamingos, herons, and ravens. Before heading to the nomad families, we will visit the Gnawa in Khamlia village, where you will enjoy some of their traditional songs.
Then, we will cross the dunes and stop by one of the nomad families, spending time with them and learning about their fascinating lives. As the evening approaches, we will travel back to Errachidia through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley. We will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of our 2-day desert tour from Errachidia to Merzouga.

To confirm your reservation, a small deposit is required, payable via PayPal or bank transfer. The remaining balance can be paid in cash (euros, dollars, or dirhams) to your guide on the first day of your tour.
